Ready to update your bathroom vanity? It's so simple!
We love using Rethunk Junk by Laura® to update bathroom vanities! It's a quick and easy project with a huge return. Get rid of that outdated orange oak or those dark maple cabinets and give your bathroom the refresh it deserves. Plus, bathroom vanities are a fun place to use an unexpected color like Farmhouse Navy, Eucalyptus or any of our other 45 fabulous colors. Have fun!
Let's update that bathroom....
Pick a Color-
Step 1 - Prep
Prepping is the first and most important step for every project, and we have made that step super simple. No sanding or priming needed! Simply clean with our Prep. Just spray the surface with Prep, then use a scrubby pad to make sure it's good and clean. Wipe it down a second time with a clean cloth. Pro Tip: In a bathroom, be sure to pay special attention to parts of the cabinet that may be touched frequently & clean them extra well! That's it! You're ready to paint. Our water-based paint formula will adhere to virtually any surface after using The Prep.

Step 2 - Paint
Choose one of our 45 gorgeous self-leveling, quick-drying paint colors.
Apply using a soft-bristle brush like our Wooster Shortcut Brush and don't forget to snag a Miracle Brush for this project because most cabinets have small details the Miracle Brush is perfect for. Plus, it's perfect for trimming around hardware like hinges because we hate removing doors! Apply your first coat of paint and when dry, usually 30 minutes, apply additional coats to reach desired coverage. PRO TIP: Smooth the paint from edge to edge with a light touch on your final pass & try not to overwork the paint. -
Step 3 - Personalize
If you stand back after finishing the paint and you love your vanity, you're done! Just allow it to dry well (we like to wait 24 hours) and then you're fine to use gently. If you want a little something extra, you can personalize your vanity by adding a wash, glaze or metallic for dimension and interest. Or you can seal with our Tuff Top for additional protection {think kids' bathrooms}. It's all up to you. Pro Tip: Use your Rethunk'd vanity gently for the first week as the paint continues to harden. Yes, you can use it, just be gentle at first. Your new finish will be super hard & durable in no time!
